“Ladies and gentlemen, let me present the star of the show! Cerbčre!” A loud rumbling chuckle emitted from the ivory and gray male’s massive chest, shaking his fur with the hearty chuckle. Brown and blue eyes gazed down at his actor-in-crime. Beneath his massive paw lay a rabbit as white as his paws, staring fearfully up at him. The mouth of the rabbit opened, emitting and pitiful high-pitch dying chirp. The chirping screeched the sad tale of a life leaving, dancing around Cer’s auds playfully as a pup might whilst chasing a butterfly. He yelled of mercy, crying aloud to his captor and begging him to free his paw from his bodice. But ultimately, his cry was of silence as Cer denied him of this inalienable right to life that every creature holds dear to his heart. Such a pitiful sound indeed, and it would only be met by mockery by the towering brute. Cerbčre’s massive head lowered to the creature until his nose was an inch away from him. “Oh dear partner, don’t you see? The show must go on!” His gray head tipped back, laughing at the stars above his head.
Again his head lowering, eyes widening and softening. “Oh dear, have I frightened you? The moments before your death will come? Your life will do, rabbit,” his voice was coated with honey until the last sentence, when the true hiss escaped his teeth. The heartbeat could be felt through the rabbit’s fur, energizing Cerbčre with a new high, causing his multicolored pupils to dilate in excitement. Pressure was applied to the rabbit’s body, causing the pitches to increase in frequency. More cries of mercy, and silence. “Quiet, or you’ll attract more attention,” Cerbčre spat, lowering his muzzle to the rabbit’s head and biting down. Metallic and salty blood soaked in his jaws, and a crunch confirmed his actions. “You were terribly boring to share the stage with,” he muttered, yawning and ambling slowly over to the corpse. The cries were silent literally now, as the heart beat once or twice on its own before all signals were disconnected. Cerbčre found this part fascinating as he kept his paw pressed close to the rabbit’s bosom, feeling the last moments of the rabbit’s life in his own paws. The heart was truly a magnificent part of the body, a muscle with enough reflexes to beat on its own! Chuckling, the wolf bent over his prey.
“I thought you’d do... But I need something more than a rabbit crying for help,” his eyes glittered, gazing over the water’s edge. “Precisely why I moved. New blood, new stories, new ladies,” Cerbčre chuckled again, puffing his white chest out. Lowering his muzzle, he took a chomp out of the rabbit, chewing greedily. The bright red blood dripped down his muzzle, shining brightly under the sky. The rabbit was salty against his salmon tongue, causing a grin to ease on his visage. Tongue escaped his black lips, running across his muzzle and erasing part of his snack. Blood still clung to his fur; slowly dripping down his ivory throat and corrupting his appearance with a light pink tint. His eyes gazed curiously at his surroundings. “Such a peculiar place to be, Cerbčre old chap. Has such a...Romantic edge, good fellow,” Cerbčre raised his head, laughing to himself and continuing a stroll as he spoke to himself. The woods was a calm place, and not some place he’d normally be found waltzing around. “The pickings should be splendid, dear boy,” again, Cerbčre was talking to himself. It sounded like he could be talking about a numerous of items: prey, packs, lands, or even women.
His giant paws crushed plants beneath him; stealing the life of poor greens without a thought. The plants did not have heartbeats; they were nothing important. Enjoyment from their death could not be had, but he accepted the fact that somehow, even they too were alive in this world. The soft coos of water trickling seduced him, begging him forth on sinner’s feet. He gladly accepted their words of sin, strolling along with a suave expression, licking his chops and gazing in its direction. Excitement for new acquaintances was running high, but he never expected who he saw next. To his dismay he was not greeted by an eye-pleasing female wading softly midst the water, but a white male with brown highlights gracing his fur, gazing goofily down at his own reflection. Eyes narrowed instantly, his mood broken. Being the thespian that he was, however, Cerbčre took this up as a challenge and strolled swiftly down toward the river. He could still use another male on stage, yes? Someone to play with, and who was obviously inferior. “Hello good sir,” Cerbčre started with a tinge of being sinister, eyeing the male quickly to size him up. He’d have to do for now, Cerbčre would have to get used to settling until he found more suitable play-things. “I’m Cerbčre Aleron Dannet.” Here to rule the stage.
